Frederic Llordachs, founding partner of Doctoralia, believes that technology can contribute to making the health care experience more human because it facilitates proximity between health care professionals and patients. Frederic explains that he bought the Doctoralia Internet domain in 2000 with the aim of setting up a platform to allow medical appointments to be made online. The project, which was the brainchild of his partners Albert Armengol and David Díaz, did not take off until 2007, coinciding with the launch of the iPhone.
