APPLE TREE, the agency that applies NEW THINKING to help clients boost brand relevance and business results, has earned a Bronze rating from EcoVadis in 2024, placing it among the top 35% of companies worldwide for sustainability. With this certification, APPLE TREE and its teams reaffirm their commitment to meeting the highest international sustainability standards.

For Carme Miró, CEO and founder of APPLE TREE: “The EcoVadis certification represents another step forward in our commitment to the highest levels of sustainability. It’s a commitment we have championed for years through the B Corp movement, and one that is firmly embedded in our business strategy.”

To qualify for an EcoVadis medal, a company must achieve a minimum score of 30 points in each of the four areas of analysis – environment, ethics, human rights and sustainable procurement – all of which APPLE TREE exceeded. The EcoVadis medal is a recognition tool designed to measure relative performance against the entire group of companies in its network that undergo a sustainability assessment.

Each year, EcoVadis evaluates over 100,000 companies in 175 countries, using 21 sustainability criteria based on globally recognized standards, including the UN Global Compact Principles, International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and ISO guidelines.

APPLE TREE’s Commitment to sustainability

Since its founding, APPLE TREE’s purpose and values have shaped a sustainability strategy designed to extend beyond the agency itself. These objectives are shared not only with employees, but also with clients, suppliers, and partners. To ensure accountability, the agency has developed a Code of Ethics and Sustainability, which sets minimum standards and provides clear channels for evaluation and compliance across all stakeholders.

At the company level, APPLE TREE has set sustainability objectives to promote environmentally responsible practices among its employees, suppliers and customers, and to promote gender equality in society. To this end, the agency financially supports 3 girls’ soccer teams (CFF Olympia Las Rozas in Madrid, the Women Soccer School in Barcelona and CE Seagull BDN in Badalona).
