Juan Zilli, new Creative Director at apple tree Madrid
Apple Tree has reinforced its senior creative team in Spain: Juan Zilli joins as Creative Director in the Madrid office. The agency currently has more than 30 creative professionals in its offices in Barcelona and Madrid.
Juan Zilli has extensive international experience in various sectors. After working in agencies such as Tapsa, Comunica+A and Proximity, he helped found the digital agency Ontwice Mexico. Over the last few years, he has worked for brands such as Toyota, P&G, Pepsi, Samsung, Microsoft, Santander and Mapfre, among others. He has a degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma del Estado, in Puebla (Mexico) and a Master in Advertising from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, in Madrid (Spain).
Zilli will be a key figure for apple tree and he will lead the Madrid creative team together with Jorge Arias and Pepe Moreno. Jorge Arias, Madrid Creative Director, is a specialist in online and offline creativity: artistic direction and strategy development. Pepe Moreno, Head of Planning, has more than 15 years of experience in creative strategic communication and has published 2 books on Branding: “Plastic Plants” and “Employer Branding; People who want to work on a brand”. Both professionals have led the creative strategy in Spain for brands such as Codere, Europcar, Indra, LEGO and VISA.
Barcelona’s creative department is led by Aitor Borrás, Creative Director, and David Rodríguez, Experiential Creative Director. This year they have won the first Gold in a world festival. Aitor is a specialist in creative direction, strategic planning, copywriting and project management. He has led projects for companies such as Bauhaus, CaixaBank, Caprabo and Mars. He has also been a member of the ASPID and FIBRA Awards jury. David is a specialist in creative event management, content creation for live actions and internal communication, leading projects for Boehringer Ingelheim, Chopard, Novartis, Roche and VidaCaixa, among others.
The agency’s creativity is the differential value of its projects, in addition to being the central axis of its growth. In fact, the latest PR SCOPE 2019 report published by SCOPEN places apple tree as the most innovative and creative agency according to Spanish clients.
In the words of Olivia Walsh, founding partner and Chief Creative Officer at apple tree, “We are very excited to have Juan, Jorge and Pepe on the Madrid team, as well as Aitor and David in Barcelona. For us, creativity is the key for brands to be relevant and connect with their clients and, in short, with people. That’s why at apple tree we place so much importance on having the best creative talent.”
