APPLE TREE, the agency that applies NEW THINKING to help its clients increase brand relevance and improve business results, has appointed Clara Martínez as the new Account Director within its healthcare team at the Barcelona office, reinforcing one of the agency’s most strategic areas.

Clara holds a degree in English Philology from the University of Murcia and a master’s degree in Corporate and Institutional Communication from the Complutense University of Madrid. She brings more than 12 years of experience in healthcare and corporate communication, having worked on PR projects for leading pharmaceutical companies such as AbbVie, Almirall and Shire Pharmaceuticals, as well as corporate communication projects for Clear Channel.

She joined APPLE TREE in 2017 as an Account Executive and has since progressed internally through a range of roles, culminating in her current position as PR Account Director. Over the years, Clara has worked on national and international projects for organisations including the Spanish Society of Cardiology, the Spanish Heart Foundation and the World Heart Federation, alongside major multinational healthcare companies such as MSD, Bayer, Amgen, Novartis, Daiichi Sankyo, Boston Scientific and Boehringer Ingelheim. Her experience also includes work for IVI clinics and the communication of Danone’s functional food brands.

Her areas of expertise span oncology, cardiology, respiratory health, women’s health, biosimilars, urology and real-world data, among others.
