Gemma García, the head of APPLE TREE’s Barcelona office and a partner in the agency, was recently named one of Catalonia’s ten most important women in fields including communication, journalism, marketing, and advertising, according to the magazine Extradigital. This ranking was released to coincide with the celebration of International Women’s Day.

She has over 15 years of experience in communication and public relations and has worked on the creation of communication strategies and plans for brands across the Corporate, Health, and FMCG sectors for brands such as DKV, SEC-FEC, Boehringer Ingelheim, Novartis, AMGEN, MARS, Nestlé, Caprabo, Bayer, and others.

She was a journalist at Europa Press for seven years, where she established and led the Communication area in Catalonia. She currently runs the APPLE TREE Barcelona office and is the supervising partner of the agency’s Communication Area. She holds a journalism degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona as well as a master’s degree in corporate communication from Pompeu Fabra University.
