This honour shows apple tree’s commitment to creativity
The El Sol Festival, which will celebrate the 34th year of its landmark awards this June, has chosen apple tree communications partner Jacobo Zelada to sit on its Grand Jury. The Iberoamerican Festival of Marketing Communication is one of the most prestigious events for industry professionals, as well as being one of only two iberoamerican festivals of reference in the WARC advertising ranking. Last year, around 1,800 entries were submitted by more than 200 agencies, including apple tree. Historically, the awards have been celebrated in the Basque Country, however this year they will make the move to Madrid, taking place on 6th and 7th June in the Teatro Circo Price.
Jacobo is a specialist in strategic communication, influencer marketing, content creation and online marketing. He is currently a director and partner in apple tree’s Madrid office and heads the agency’s digital team from there. Among the clients that he has worked with are companies like Google, Mahou, McDonald’s and Nike.
Reflecting on his appointment, Jacobo commented: “It’s a great honour for me to join the jury for El Sol, a festival that I have spent many years following and participating in. Above all, I am grateful for the opportunity to spend a few days surrounded by professionals at the highest level of the industry enjoying, analysing and assessing creativity and quality in campaigns from the various different participating countries.”
