APPLE TREE has welcomed Joaquim Ramis as Senior Partner and Chief Growth Officer, overseeing responsibilities across the Barcelona, Madrid, and London offices and driving international business growth. With a wealth of experience spanning agency, consultancy, and advertiser roles, Ramis will be responsible for APPLE TREE’s growth as an integrated creative agency and its digital marketing capabilities.
With the appointment of Joaquim Ramis, APPLE TREE aims to exponentially increase its capabilities and business as an integrated agency. Defined by “Influence First”, a new paradigm for the AGENCY of the future, influencer communications are rooted in the agency’s DNA. Originating from APPLE TREE’s New Thinking philosophy, it revolves around securing brands a prominent and influential role in meaningful conversations. This approach transcends traditional advertising by delving into audience motivations and cultural forces, enabling brands to play a relevant role and go far beyond the broadcasting of branded digital content.
APPLE TREE, whose core business is strategic communication and influencer marketing, has evolved over the last few years as an integrated agency, incorporating services in creativity, digital marketing, social media, influencer marketing, branding, events & experiential, content production and branded content.
Carme Miró, CEO and founder of APPLE TREE, shared her excitement about Joaquim Ramis joining the agency: “We’re honoured to have one of Spain’s leading digital strategy professionals contribute to APPLE TREE’s growth. Combining diverse expertise allows us to serve big brands better. Joaquim is an ideal leader, both professionally and personally. He will undoubtedly elevate our people and company, driving continued success for our clients.”
Prior to joining APPLE TREE, Joaquim Ramis worked at Accenture Song, where he held the position of Automotive Marketing lead in Accenture’s marketing and communications division for the last few years. Previously, Ramis had spent most of his professional career at Proximity, an agency of the Omnicom group, where he was the founder and Managing Director of the agency in Barcelona and later CEO of Proximity Spain (Barcelona and Madrid) and member of the Worldwide Board of Proximity.
Speaking about his new role, Joaquim commented, “Joining APPLE TREE is a rational and thoughtful decision, but also a very emotional one. APPLE TREE is a team I’ve admired for years, and I’m eager to contribute to their growth. As a firm believer in engaging audiences through meaningful conversations, I can think of no better place than APPLE TREE for further expanding my expertise in this realm. Additionally, I am confident that I can make valuable contributions to the areas in which APPLE TREE aims to thrive. It feels like a perfect alignment – a meeting of minds.
Not many agencies in Spain can boast a team comprising seasoned professionals with the extensive experience and diverse backgrounds that APPLE TREE possesses. The team comprises exceptional individuals, from agency veterans to advertisers, consultants, and influencer marketing specialists. Respected names such as Carme Miró, Jaime Lobera, Kirsty Brown, Jacobo Zelada, Gemma García, Sergio Barreda, and many others bring their expertise to the table. They coexist alongside a dynamic group of young, emerging talent. These professionals have flourished thanks to APPLE TREE’s unwavering belief in the value of its people.
After spending over 25 years in multinational agencies, with their inherent strengths and weaknesses, it became evident to me that my next step had to be towards an independent agency. This path would allow me to make decisions as a part of the management team in Spain and prioritise the well-being of our team, clients, and projects.”
Ramis embarked on his agency career at Lorente Estrategias de Venta, following prior roles within the marketing departments of advertisers, including Agrolimen (General de Confitería) and Montblanc Spain.
Actively engaged in the industry’s association, Ramis served as President of Agencias Digitales and held a position on the Board of Directors of Adigital. Throughout his career, Ramis has provided strategic marketing guidance to renowned brands such as Audi, Bankinter, Bayer, Caixabank, Danone, Deutsche Bank, Levi’s, Mango, Naturgy, Nike, P&G, Sony, SEAT/Cupra, Skoda, and Volkswagen, including VW Finance, among others.
