Puma has unveiled ‘Bootsdrop’, its new communication campaign starring Bayern Munich’s French footballer Kingsley Coman, to mark the launch of its new sneaker model, PUMA Ultra. The campaign, filmed in Munich, was developed and produced by the creative team of the communication agency APPLE TREE.
For the launch of the brand’s new boots, PUMA wanted to carry out a unique and innovative action, both in terms of format and distribution, combining social media with the real world. For this purpose, the football player Kingsley Coman, a player known for his unique speed, just like the Puma Ultra, was chosen as the protagonist.
The creative concept behind the campaign took the form of a social media campaign in which the footballer, accompanied by the influencer Niklas, sent messages to anonymous people inviting them to receive the brand-new PUMA boots. These surprise deliveries carried out randomly to fans of the athlete, took place in the streets of Munich and were captured on camera. The video compilation can be viewed on PUMA’s social networks and has already gone viral among fans of the footballer and the brand. This innovative campaign joins other past international campaigns carried out for the brand.
